In order to assist our new car dealer members in hiring and training auto technicians, Clear the Air
Foundation has created a scholarship program for automotive technician students who are currently
working at a new car dealership. The focus is on the student who is currently enrolled in an auto tech
program or who is working as an Apprentice at a new car dealership.

Up to $50,000 will be awarded per calendar year. Each scholarship award will be up to $2,500 and
will be used towards tuition or tools. Tuition checks are made out to the school in the recipient’s
name. Tool scholarships are given to the recipient. Tool scholarship recipients must be enrolled in a
corresponding student discount program with either Snap-on Tools or Matco Tools.

If you otherwise qualify for the scholarship, but aren’t currently working at a new car dealership,
please contact the CTAF Director to discuss available opportunities in more detail. Job placement
assistance is available.

  • Complete the application and submit all requested documentation to the CTAF Director.
  • The scholarship is a one-time award
  • The Clear the Air Foundation scholarship will be used to supplement tuition or for tool purchases utilizing student discount programs with either Snap-on Tools or Matco Tools
