About Us

In 2007, the Board of Directors for the Colorado Automobile Dealers Association launched the Clear the Air Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated under the laws of the state of Colorado, where its purpose is to remove high-polluting vehicles from our roads for good.

Parts of these donated vehicles — most from franchised new car dealers — are recycled. The engine and other non-recyclable parts are crushed, never to pollute Colorado’s air again.

Funds received from recycling these vehicles are used to provide scholarships to students who are pursuing an Automotive Technician career.

When they graduate, many students join franchised new car dealers in their Service departments, where they enjoy long and rewarding careers as Automotive Technicians.
