After a car has been donated to the Foundation, we have one of our vehicle transporter affiliates come to pick the vehicle up (at no charge) from the donor.  It is then taken to an auto recycling company, where it is processed for all reusable or recyclable parts, the engine, shell and frame are then crushed, so they can never pollute again.  The crushed metal is then shredded and recycled for new uses.
